Favourite ever piece of rainwear
Re: Favourite ever piece of rainwear
My favourite is always the one I never managed to get my hands on. The Burberry trenchcoat that colleagues have come to work in but which are never available when I could’ve devoured them with love.
The perfectly smooth, ceaseless and shiny trenchcoats that languish around the bodies of equally beautiful ladies who wear them, but are never there for me to explore with my eager and longing hands, nose, mouth and body. These are favourites because they keep their mystery, visual desire and unfulfilled expression.

when i was much younger my sister gave me her shiny light pink raincoat which i recall was reversible if not pvc lined. it had a nice plastic smell and a very soft texture and to this day i have been trying to find one just like it but a larger size. the closest i have is an I.I.I raincoat but the lining is a matte finish. this would be my favorite if it was longer and had more design features such as a box shaped duck billed hood, inner popper buttons and sleeves and a storm flap.
Re: Favourite ever piece of rainwear
It seems that many members have an ideal raincoat that they desire, but can’t get. Either a powerful memory or just something unattainable that they dream of. I’m sure there are companies out there that would make up a bespoke garment, but probably be very expensive. Is there another way to attain our dream garments or are they best left out of reach, after all, a dream fulfilled is no longer a dream and would reality be as good as the imagination can conjure?
I make my own plastic pants from worn out raincoats and other plastic sources. I find it easier to dispose of a garment that is, at least in part, being recycled into something new. Maybe a new hobby to make rainwear dreams come true? Of course it should be easy to create an image of exactly what is desired with AI.

Do you use simple plastic for your pants or coated rainwear fabrics or either one ?
Re: Favourite ever piece of rainwear
Good old unbacked plastic is best for pants I find. I have made garments out of a PVC coated cotton, has the advantage that you can dust off the old sewing skills from schooldays. Yes I maybe old but I was at the start of the new comprehensive system where boys were taught to cook and sew. Material was PVC on both sides so totally lovely.ilikecoated wrote: ↑July 19th, 2024, 6:44 am Do you use simple plastic for your pants or coated rainwear fabrics or either one ?

Parents had an annoying habit of doing that sort of thing!
