Being gay is who you’re attracted to, not what you wear. So why would you talk about Puffs ( I assume you mean poofs) and looking gay if you didn’t mean to be insulting?Pvc Vinyl Enthusiast wrote: ↑January 31st, 2016, 4:49 pmMy reference to the term 'puff' is not intended to insult; I am simply stating what some people (and yes, there are plenty of those out there) might be thinking in their minds if they saw a man wearing a shiny or glass clear PVC raincoat, complete with clear PVC brolli, which are generally thought of as women's apparel.ray@rainwearcafe wrote:Being straight or gay has NOTHING to do with what you wear and I agree the term puff is insulting and has no place on this or any forum
Is it 'gay' for a man to wear shiny rainwear in public?

Wearing a glass clear mac don't make you gay. Just makes us people that love rainwear stick out to us that love it.
And just because we know we are wearing it because we love it .makes us think that every one else knows are fetish fo macs ect.

Made the first step and wore a shiny black mac out with the dog tonight. I see three people while out and one said hello and started talking about dogs to me .It felt great and I will continue and gradually the nights will become lighter and I will be then weaned to wearing my macs in the daytime to.

I also wear my shiny black 'Stutterheim' mac whenever I get the chance, and just about everyone loves it. I receive a lot of compliments on my rainwear.Mydreamhascometrue wrote: ↑December 12th, 2023, 8:31 pm Made the first step and wore a shiny black mac out with the dog tonight. Only the other day, a pretty Asian pharmacist working in my local chemist (drug store) told me that "I love your raincoat"... bla blah.

This is a bit like how I overcame my fear about wearing a mac out in public, I would wear a long mac out very early on a summer morning when I was unlikely to meet anyone. On one occasion I met a woman walking her dog, I was gripped by the fear that she might think I was a flasher but she just said hello as she passed and I realised that most people are not bothered by what you are wearing. It feels liberating having lost (most) of my fear about wearing a mac in public.Mydreamhascometrue wrote: ↑December 12th, 2023, 8:31 pm Made the first step and wore a shiny black mac out with the dog tonight.
