Finally some rain

Yes this evening and into the night was forecast for there to be some rain crossing the south of England. It started raining around 9 10 o'clock so I doned my favourite black faux leather skirt, silver vest top and my blue pvc raincoat and at 10 o'clock went out for a walk. At first it was only showery rain but the forecast was for it to get heavier and about 12 o'clock it did. Just walking around in the rain i came across an old chair which someone must have been putting out for rubbish so i just moved it to a spot where the rain could lash down on me and sat down, must have been sat there for a good 15 minutes getting really wet

. I then got up a and continued to walk around until around 2 o'clock the rain stopped. Great few hours getting wet in the rain and went in after enjoying the time spent in the rain. Hope that like minded others managed to do the same.

It was good to see some rain again. It rained on and off for most of the day, I was out in it from early in the morning on Dartmoor and had an enjoyable walk, suitably dressed for it of course.

Sounds like a great night! There is nothing quite like being subject to the full fury of a hard, lashing rain. Just a few days ago I also had the pleasure of enjoying some hard rain. My yellow Grundens clipper rainsuit took the brunt of the punishment from the pelting rain, save for a few squalls that got my face wet!

I so wanted to go out and take some photos in yesterday's rain. But according to my photographer, rain and camera gear is a big no-no (

)

That's a shame Phee. You should have gone out and had some fun in it anyway!

I can agree with his sentiment.
But tell him to buy a raincape for his camera.
(Cost in the U.K between £5-£100 depending on the camera type and model!)

I have just come back from the Larmer Tree Festival in Dorset. ,thursday dry and warm, heavy rain friday into saturday ,overcast for a lot of sunday. This meant wearing my wellies for most of the weekend plus my mac friday and saturday...the hundreds of other welly wearers,were a lovely sight, however there were very few shiny pvc macs on view and hardly a rubber mac in sight...great shame ! The fact that my other half's daughter who is in her late 30's ,wore her rubberised yellow jacket rather a lot , made it very difficult to keep my mind straight !!!
Shiny.

We had a thunderstorm here at about 1.30 am last night which woke me up so I put on my Top Shop EVA raincoat and rubber waders (otherwise naked obviously) and went into the garden. The rain was lashing down with lots of thunder and some flashes of lightening. The sound of the rain on my raincoat and it running down the smooth material was amazing
