Yellow plastic rainsuits
Hi everyone
Who had these suits back in the day... and perhaps now?
Usually jacket with drawstring hood and trousers without pockets etc, but yellow. Most were lined inside with backing onto the plastic to stop it ripping of you ever bent over in them! These suits were everywhere in the 1970s/ 80s, I remember the kind of crass ‘heat seals’ on the stitching , literally melting the plastic together on the seams. They looked smart rainsuits though.
Thanks!

Still use something very similar on my motorcycle in the rain, hugely oversize jacket I can wear over my leather jacket to stop it getting soaked through, same with the trousers.

I had one of these, but it was a bit better than the usual ones because it was proofed with smooth pvc both sides. Found it in a charity shop about 10 years ago but I wore it a lot and it began to deteriorate. Wish I could find another one like it now.

Or maybe this one

Re: Yellow plastic rainsuits
Yes I have exactly that. I wear mine all the time.

I have a green one similar, but thicker than ones you can buy today. Love it and use it regularly. Many years ago had an even thicker one which had a lovely shine to it and was very smooth and lovely feel to it.
