Hunter Boots

Post by MissRachel »

Hello Wet Friends,

from time to time I see pictures of people wearing Hunter boots however the are very long; past the knee! When you go to their web site you cannot find anything like them.

Are these a discontinued boot?

The only over the knee boots I can think of would be the Osten which were a limited edition I think and way over priced for what they were, they do appear on ebay from time to time but you'll have pay stupid money for them, you could get a pair of their Coursefisher or Keenfisher thigh waders much cheaper.

You say this is the "Keenfisher" model? You are correct about finding used pairs for $200 US.

Hi Rachel, The silver boots in your photo are called Osten, they were also available in red and yellow that I know of and were aimed at females as they only went up to a UK 8 (US 9M). Should a pair ever be listed on ebay you can easily expect to pay double the $200 you've seen the men's Coursefisher and Keenfisher listed for.

As others have noted, the boots in the photo are Hunter 'Osten' boots, which were made in China. It's a shame Hunter won't make more of them as I would like a a pair too.
