Rainwear like Covid19 protection.

Post by 1000Raincoats »

Hi! Does anyone use their raincoats as protection against Covid-19? That's a good reason to wear the rainwear in public. :D

It's a dam good idea, how effective it would be I am not sure but certainly a lot of fun to try. Plus it can do no harm and bring enjoyment into this pitiful time.

While I was out earlier today, I saw one Chinese guy wearing a blue plastic raincoat for his shop at Aldi with the hood pulled up over his mask and goggles.

3 weeks ago, he would've looked ridiculous. Nowadays, it's nothing more than common sense.

No one was laughing or staring this time.

I think I might follow his lead tomorrow....

I heard in the news that some health workers had started using festival raincoats.
I will use my nylon raincoats every day and night and both inside and out. :-)

I think it should be made compulsory by law to be MADE to wear shiny pvc, rubber or glossy vinyl hooded macs, capes, cagoules or anoraks, when out in public. Hoods up. In fact in public it should be compulsory to wear at least two, one back to front with hoods up. Lets take this maybe one step further. With a collar locked on. (Keyholder to be decided) For further longer term protection, perhaps one hour, no make it two, before leaving home, macs should be prepared and worn. On arrival back home they can only be removed after a further four hours. Damn it. Lets make the world a safer place. Full PPE made of pvc or vinyl, both inside and out, none of this cotton backed stuff, MUST be worn during waking hours. Hoods permanently up. Nope. Not good enough. Constantly worn 24hrs a day, bar bathroom breaks. Phew. Oh and to save any possible distractions..... all cotton or similar material clothing MUST be burned and destroyed. A positive mental attitude will see us all through this. Further imput would be gratefully received.
