Rainwear site clickbait?

Hi,

One of my preferred ways to surf the internet searching for pics or inspiration is on Pinterest. Tons of photo's come by there, most of them sourced from other profiles and websites and only sometimes correctly contributed to the rightful owners.

But recently I come past tons of pictures that all point to the same rainwear website. But that site has barely any content and looks like its just collecting traffic for some reason.

Below two examples of pictures taken from other people that are linking to this website:

Although they seem to point to different websites (raincoatshelp.club and raincoatsproject.club), both get redirected to the website "http://www.raincoatsforwomens.com/" (don't click the link - and i thought women was already plural but appearently its womens).

That site is quite useless, below a screenshot:

Its filled with articles without real content trying to use trending words to end up high in search rankings.

But i don't understand why?
Why are they doing this?
Is this completely automated with thousands of rainwear pictures being added to pinterest?
Anybody any idea whats going on?

I saw the same thing !

It seems like the website is really a aggregate of links and there is no content. When I get the feeling to search for rain wear I just avoid this site. The site has nothing that even makes sense: it was like an alien from another world found words and strung them together.

It could be an ad revenue generator possibly, who wouldn't want money for nothing.
