Farmerrain retro long raincoats

Post by TStorm56 »

I've had my eye on the long retro raincoats being made by Farmerrain. Can anyone who has bought one tell me about the fit of the raincoat? The website says they are unisex, but they look geared more towards women than men.

Thanks

Hi, I've just received one of these coats from farmerrain and I would say that it is definitely unisex fitment and I can't wait to wear it out in the rain, the quality is really good for the price. I wasn't sure of the fit so I ordered the xxl but could of easily got a size large (I'm a man around 6 ft tall), with the belt tied around my middle it seems to fit ok though. Hope you go ahead and buy one.

It does have something of a feminine shape, especially when belted, but the XXL fit me just fine, sleeves nice & long, hood very roomy. Got mine in yellow, thinking about getting a blue one as well; it’s a great value

I received the retro raincoat in the mail a few days ago - dark green limited edition. The raincoat is super long! I am 6ft 2in and it goes well past my knees. I am very happy with the purchase. I hope farmerrain makes a shorter version that does not have a hood and requires a rain hat.

I own the "regular" as well as the limited edition version. The XXL is definitly suitable for tall people. Perhaps the sleeve length is a little bit shorter than a special male-only sizing, but it is still enough. The hood size isn't too big in my opinion in regard of the xxl size of the coat (a Stutterheim Stockholm in xxl offers a little bit more roomy hood)... or is my bean too large??  . The belt is good to get a more shaped fit esp when there is much space left (for tall and thinner people). I only modified it with a metal buckle.

Are these coats shiny on the inside or do they have a cotton lining?

These look great but a tad expensive for me, are they worth the money?

I'd like a Yellow one, oh and a Black one and maybe a Red one too

Well worth the money. A bargain when compared to Stutterheim, or any of the other Scandinavian “fashion” rainwear brands out there, and a much better fit, especially on my husky body
