THE RUBBERISED POLICE MACKINTOSH

Post by Tradmack »

I am currently writing my rubber memoirs on the stories section, just a thought occurred. I have never seen any comments from ex police officers or any other users for that matter on the once ubiquitous navy or black rubberised cotton macks they used to wear. Any thoughts anybody ?

I have a police navy heavy Police rubberised cotton mack, and a black Railway rubberised mack. I wear both still, and love the feel and smell of
them. They are comfortable and never seem to have deteriorated in any way although they are from the 1950s. They were still used in Ireland
till quite recently. You see them regularly for sale on ebay. I recommend them to anyone interested as they are wind and waterproofed.

I have two ex-RAF police mackintoshes both heavyweight double textured affairs, not sure of their age but must be at least fifty years old. So, if anyone is interested I am more than happy to sell either or both. Just drop me a line and I will send a picture and measurements.

I had a dark blue rubberised British Rail mackintosh in the late 70's early 80's and I loved it .
Nobody ever made any untoward comments when I wore it although it was literally ankle length and really heavy with the strongest rubber aroma that I have ever encountered.
Various girlfriends loved it and it would keep two people dry using it as a cape .
I still feel guilty that it was relegated to the garage for lying on to do car repairs and eventually it was disposed of after it was accidentally doused with dirty engine oil .
I really should be ashamed of myself . .......

as a young boy i sometimes used to chat to our local village bobby when he was exercising his police alsation on the common . he had a police issue double texture rubberised cotton raincape which was usually carried , when not being worn , tightly folded and rolled up and secured by a short strap .he said once that he and his colleagues preferred to use the heavy tightly rolled cape instead of a truncheon when subdueing a violent person , because you could give someone a really hefty thump with the cape without any fear of causing a serious injury , which could happen with the truncheon

Wow fancy being clouted with one of those rolled up raincapes. Conjures up some quite erotic fantasies.

It certainly does rubberdee. My rubber Police and Railways macs are certainly very heavy and powerful. I remember a policeman sat down
beside me in a crowded bus when I was in in my teens and I was so in awe of him that I was momentarly petrifed of him. The skirt of his rubber
mackintosh had moved over my naked knee and the noisy movement released a rush of rubber smell that I had never experienced before. I have
been in awesome respect of men in double texture mackintoshes since. I look forward to seeing the two that you have offering, and of course the
mesurements. Tell me a bit about your fetishes. Have you ever owned a Belstaff Black Prince suit or Jacket? Love to hear from you, Jack

That certainly would be a powerful experience at that age, Jack. In answer to your question on the Belstaff m/c suits, no I have never owned one but I have worn a rubber copy of one, which was quite exciting. I will post you a picture of the RAF police macs I have and the measurements in due course.
