Hi rainwear freaks, is there a recommendation where to look at shiny pvc raincoats in the U.S. ?
Any particular stores ? Does Totes have some raincoats this year ?
Michael Kors ? Dennis Basso ? Where can I get them ?
Does anybody have a recommendation what kind of depertment stores have shiny pvc raincoats in stock this year ? JC Penney ? Macys ? Dillards ?

I haven't been in the U.S. for raincoat shopping for a long time. In The 90s, they had the Wippette raincoats, the Betmar brand raincoats, the "Items Internationa" brand, etc.
But these are gone.

So I kindly ask you where to find nice fashionable shiny PVC ladies rainwear.

Many thx for any suggestion.

I will be in the Dallas, TX area. Not a really chilly cold area in August....

I don't know if Dallas would have similar stock in their department stores to their other stores nationwide in the US but Macy's in Chicago had some nice Polyurethane raincoats on sale three weeks ago.

They all seemed to be medium size jackets in Green, Blue or Black and sold for about $45. I thick they were lined also.

I did'nt see any of the Dennis basso style or Wippette raincoats around, perhaps if you see any government surplus stores they would have them. Saying that though I bought a nice Yellow 'Slicker' in PVC with a removeable hood for $30 in a small shop on Michigan Avenue so perhaps you will be lucky.

Don't know about those great Dennis Basso coats; it appears you can only buy them online at qvc.

If you're going to be in Dallas, try a Nordstrom store, they tend to have a good selection of ladies' raincoats.

Dennis Basso make great raincoats ... I managed to pot one on e-bay not long ago - it's got a thick, shiny yellow PVC shell with a leopard print lining. It's very solid and warm but alas a bit too girly for me to wear in public *SIGHHHH*

It would be perfect for this cold weather; but I feel embarrassed to wear it though :-(
