Blue Mac at B and M

Post by mrbassman101 »

While shopping yesterday at the local B and M (purveyors of a fine selection of household rubber gloves ) in a fine drizzle I followed a young lady into the store .She was wearing an Air Force Blue parka type mac with a long split tail . I looked and then looked again at the rustling rippling material of her mac , she was wearing it open which allowed it to move freely .
From the movements and sounds it made I was almost certain that it was rubber , it had a white lining with taped seams easily visible inside the large hood which was flung back on her shoulders.
I couldn't confirm any aroma as I have a heavy cold at the moment. Definitely not Covid, I have been tested on Momday .
I managed to read the label on her left bicep which said something like " Bad Weather doesn't matter " I wonder if anyone has come across this make ?
I could have followed her for hours but I don't think that would have been a good idea.
I also thought briefly about a photo but the camera on my phone is ridiculously loud , so again not a good idea .
She headed for the checkout and I continued my shopping , for a moment she turned and looked straight at me and gave me a lovely smile ( no mask although I was wearing one ) she must have known I was watching her ....

Instead of following her which is a bit dodgy, i would simply go up to her and say "excuse me, do you mind if i enquire where you bought your coat" normally it seems like a genuine question to which you should get a polite answer? That's what i would do. Only saying.

On a rainy day I went to a big city and saw a woman wearing a nice
yellow raincoat. I could not resist and without thinking walked straight to her,
asking where she bought this coat. She absolutely ignored me, because she thought
I was asking her for some money, like a beggar. But this would not keep me from doing
it again one day, maybe next time I will suceed .

Although mostly been asked by females as to where i got my shiny mac(s) from, whilst wearing one out in public, i have been asked a couple of times by older gentlemen, and have answered them.
Not sure if they were more surprised i told them, or they suddenly realised i was not a female, wearing such.
