Muddy places in the North West?

Evening all
As well as rainwear and wellies I love to get messy/muddy. I moved back up to Liverpool back in April 2021 and since then I haven't had much time to indulge in my...shall we say...hobbies due to work.
Now that I have more time to be able to go get muddy does anyone know of any places around Merseyside/Lancashire with some really good mud? The deeper the better
Obviously I don't want to go too far if I'm in need of a good shower and I'm having to lug around wet/muddy gear afterward...
