Hot fabric
Yesterday I hung my nylon waterproofs on the radiator, the sweet smell of the hot fabric arouses me , does anyone else find the smell of hot waterproofs arousing ?
Re: Hot fabric
Yes and no. Depends on the material. My favourite feel is plastic, and you used to be able to get lovely smelling macs in it, but nowadays the smell is maybe too strong and not as plasticy (if that makes sense). Nylon and PVC (as in polyurethane backed with cotton) is much nicer, especially if previously worn by a woman when hot and perspiring, Where rainwear is concerned all the senses (except maybe taste) are in play,Hotnylon123 wrote: ↑March 4th, 2022, 9:47 pm Yesterday I hung my nylon waterproofs on the radiator, the sweet smell of the hot fabric arouses me , does anyone else find the smell of hot waterproofs arousing ?

Re: Hot fabric
The rubberised macs hanging in my infants and junior schools' cloakrooms gave off a great aroma on those long wet days of childhood when the coal-fired hot water radiators were going at full blast.
