Wellies with attached nylon Lycra gaiters

I just saw an ad for this from this Asian rain boot wellies seller or manufacturer (cannot tell)

This group also has an Instagram page too.
The page features wellies for sale with attached stretchy nylon/Lycra spandex to keep dirt (and snow?) from falling in the top of their wellies.
Good idea? Is this a copy of a different brand or a new idea? Anyone try them?
The comments on the Instagram page are largely negative, including the one asking how this covering works for rain water. But… if it works the way it is supposed to for dirt and snow, I could see wanting to use something like this.

They have a gaiter and are made of soft natural rubber.
