Bravest Rainwear Wearing

In the warm weather I have been taken to wearing my PVC jacket almost all of the time I go out, fed up with the lack of rain, or even the threat of it. I love the feel of the rubbery lining as I get heated up, and have a range of retorts ready for anyone who challenges my decision, although I have only had a couple of people actually question if I am expecting rain. This is about the bravest I have ever been (not very brave I suspect), so what are other members recollections of when they wore fabulous rainwear when maybe they shouldn’t?

Similar to Jenny, went out wearing only two Peter storm cagoules and plastic pants and some very shiny lined regatta stormbreak over trousers for a walk in the rain one summer, got a couple miles back towards home and the sun came out and turned really warm. Had to walk through our village fully cag’d up and sweating buckets but had to stay all done up until i got back to the house, had a few funny looks from folks as but made it home for a cool shower still wearing my gear.

I'm not sure if it counts as brave or crazy, but we went on vacation with only rainwear and other fetish related clothes in our luggage. So no matter what we did we had to wear something that more or less turned everyones attention.
Great fun most of the time
I think the theme of everyone’s bravest moment contains a large quantity of crazy in the mix. Sounded like a wonderful vacation, certainly would have had my attention turned. I love the idea of “other fetish items” - gets the imagination working overtime!

Since we couldn't wear rainwear all the time we packed some latex too, and some plastic that was better for snuggling in the bed or couch
Wow, that sounds like the loveliest holiday ever! I wish my wife would agree to something like that

. The best I have ever managed was to discrete a plastic mack in the luggage and get her to wear it in the hotel room one evening after too much wine at dinner.

In the mid eighties, I was at nursing college/University In Edinburgh and there was a doctor who was kind of kinky and a likeable guy, but to be honest I was not interested in guys at all.
However after I graduated some friends including the Doc all headed of to the Edinburgh festival. One night while we where out for a drink we got talking about the pvc, latex and the rainwear fetish, I realised he was mad keen into it. Sooo. I suggested later that evening that he dress up in pvc trousers, latex t-shirt and high heels and walk down princess street with me wearing a plastic 3/4 length jelly coat (one could buy them in C&A for £3.99. I said Id wear a latex dress and a pink plastic raincoat as well. He was very keen as I teased the bloody life out of him
.
Now, given it was festival time and the mid 80s anything really WENT in Edinburgh at that time, no one really bothered. So the next day I met him.. he was in the gear. ( Where he got it from I have no idea), and he looked very sexy to be honest. So we met that afternoon and walked and chatted the whole way down Princess St in the middle of Edinburgh, we did get some very weird look as he struggled in the heels..
We walked on until we got to the Frasers Department store right at the bottom of the city. We chatted for a while just at the corner and I knew he was getting worked up, I could see his bulge. At that moment I noticed a girl friend of mine in her car, I waved her down, jumped in and yelled at her to drive off, leaving the guy on his own in the middle of a city.
I KNOW IM A BITCH... He was furious that weekend when we all met in a bar.. He m...ade it very clear he was not amused and Never spoke to me again until this very day, I often wonder where he is now....
He never did get his wicked way with me... hehehehe.
I must admit I enjoyed the walk.

What brilliant tease Debs, but I think he turned out to be the braver of the two if you in the end, having to walk home alone in that most naughty of outfit! Still, I bet there a lot of men on this site who would have enjoyed being humiliated by you in that way.

Actually that’s not me. I am not into being humiliated or humiliating others. But based on comments from others on the site it would seem that lots do like humiliation.

I had one of my first outings in a cagoule and overtrousers the other night. After a late turn at work, I stripped off in the car under cover of darkness and donned a Peter Storm cagoule (white, red & blue) and black Craghoppers overtrousers. I then walked into the supermarket wearing just these garments, strolled around the store - fully zipped up, drawstrings tied, hands plunged into the pockets - for a few minutes and then walked out again. It was very exhilerating.

This is probably not much compared to other people in this forum but Im very shy about my rainwear, so for me this was huge.
Last night when it was time to take the dogs out before going to bed, i had only shorts on and all my normal outside pants were upstairs and I said this out loud, my girlfriend asked me that why dont I put my rainpants on since they are in the drawer next to the door. Well she didnt have to tell me twice, and I also put on my HH raincoat too to complete the looks even though it wasnt even raining. When we were out she even noticed my excitement downlow and commented that thats a clever way to keep the pants up (I previously had said that the pants are a bit too roomy) and also that I should wear them more often. What a liberating feeling that was.
