Ringo in a shiny red authentic PVC mac, hoodless

I was watching random music videos, and by sheer chance I happened to stumble upon this finding:
Ringo Starr on the drums, wearing a shiny red hoodless mac made from authentic PVC. The mac looks almost looks like a PUL or Elements Rainwear design. It is extremely rare to see women wearing shiny PVC clothing these days, let alone men. We know that women commonly wore shiny PVC raincoats/macs in the 60s and 70s; but did a greater number of men also wear shiny PVC rainwear back then? Personally, I see no point in a mac/raincoat not having a permanent or detachable hood: in a downpour, your head and hair gets a drenching, unless you take a brolly (if you must use a brolly, at least use a clear PVC dome/bubble umbrella to complement the hoodless PVC rainwear).
