New platform

Post by staggy »

Is there anyway we could move the forum to a different platform? Ideally an app? Where it’s easier to post pictures and videos and allows notifications of new activity and messages etc, also could include and instant chat function? Just an idea as there maybe a lot of people who only use apps etc and may not know about the forum, particularly the younger generation!

I don't think this could work.
To get a final answer, just ask the moderator (Rainwearboy). ;)

It's called Facebook ... lol

If there is enough interest, I could create a private/secret group so membership is more or less restricted to members here. Then we have the best of both worlds.

Nothing on Facebook is ever really private, and if you are successful in hiding things to begin with, they constantly change terms and conditions and privacy options to make sure they get their hands on your data. After all, if you are not paying for it, they have to make money somehow. As of the start of this month all Facebook data outside of the EU is being used to train their AI systems (unless you have managed to find the sneakily hidden option to turn it off), so even if your data doesn’t make it out the normal route it can pop up in AI results. I don’t ever do Facebook because of its terrible privacy.

Similarworlds.com is very much so what you're looking for with all those functions, chats, easy photo sharing and very easy to use
