Margaret Barton (playing the part of Betty Mallison) was just 21 in this film - her second acting role - her first one being famously in 'Brief Encounter' two years earlier where she played the part of a tea room assistant. Trivia! Margaret Barton (at 96) is the last surviving member of the cast of 'Brief Encounter'.

This is a new one on me very exciteing I bet the mac is really lovely will have to watch

Would love to know the colour of it! Might have to try colourising a screen shot - always a bit hit and miss though....

Cheers Beth! :) Much as I expected to be honest - doesn't really show the true colour (looks a bit yellowy-orange). My own guess is that it is red. When using the Internet colourisation programmes I always find that they work best when you have a high-definition photo - not easy when taking shots from films that are at 480/720 pixels.
