Hello does anyone wear there rainwear or raincoat in this weather I would like to wear my mackintosh in this hot weather but feel so nervous to do so

Wearing one outside in hot summer wheater is one thing that is still on my bucket list.
In the seventies one could see women wearing shiny coats also on nice summer days. That was heaven !!!
Inside I have done it a lot with shiny rainjackets, raincoats or even a boilersuit. The latter I like most wirh a hoodie and sweatpsnts on top. I drink a lot when doing so and stop only when I think the fabric backing is completely saturated with sweat.
I also sometimes wear shiny vinyl trousers or leggings under my jeans when cycling to work in summer. I often treat them with baby oil before slipping into them.

I wear my nylon regatta waterproof jacket out in this hot weather as I go out erliy in morning so it's not always that warm. I then just keep it on till I'm back home from work and shop.

I just can’t; too sweaty & sticky for me. I will carry a lighter weight raincoat & a pair of wellies in a backpack if there’s a chance for one of those sudden summer deluges that tend to pop up. Always be prepared!

Not for me, being out in the pouring rain is part of the enjoyment.

oh yes while its rainy and hot n humid is the best time to wear soft pvc- vinyl raincoat:)

I've been lucky enough to wear my rain overalls & also my sauna suit to the beach with my ex, in the Philippines... omg that was awesome

I met a lovely couple last week in the Cotswolds, it was roasting hot day and she had on a zipped up black regatta pack it jacket that was a fraction too tight for her. I kept wondering as we chatted if i should have slipped this forum into the convo as she
Must have been baking hot in it and i have to admit, I would have only worn one for a turn on in that weather. Blue sky, 27c sunshine. She must have a love for cagoules like me!
