One of the best elements of the Rainwear Forum is the amazing diversity of its members. Although we occasionally agree to disagree on some topics, by and large, everyone gets on really well together.
Most of the time.
The one thing that we do not tolerate is member harassment, whether on this forum or other social media platform. Bullying, sexual harassment and racism are completely unacceptable, regardless of the circumstances.
I've just received a number of very serious complaints about one RWF member who discovered another current member on Facebook before sending him numerous highly offensive messages. That individual thought it would be cute to send dick shots, wanking (on cam) videos and other offensive material to him. This individual is free to deny his behaviour until he's blue in the face, because I've got screenshots of said behaviour. It is sexual harassment, and that's something the law also takes a very dim view of.
I discussed the matter with the complainant and RainwearBoy, and we've decided to allow him to stay (the complainant actually requested he be allowed to stay) - but if it ever happens again, I won't hand out any warnings. It's an instant ban.
If anyone else tries it on, please let me, or RWB know - but we will need actual evidence such as screenshots or forwarded e-mails etc. we won't act on hearsay for obvious reasons.
Member harassment
Re: Member harassment
Personally, I would have given him the good old heave-ho, but RWB said to let him stay (for now) - if it happens again, I won't even bother with warnings. He's out for good.noraskahastryk wrote: ↑January 2nd, 2024, 6:45 am this message only had one effect on me, it made me feel unsafe. being informed of such serious crime and then also being informed the person gets to stay. i dont care if it was requested that he stay by the complaintant. why in the world would we want such a person to be here after knowing what he did?
