So last evening we had persistent rain, nothing new here where I live.
Having just received a new order from PUL, I thought what a wonderful opportunity. Supper was over and I unpacked my new RA48 mac with a collar in BS5S thick dark blue pvc and SU36 rain suit in BKS11S thick black. First the mac was donned back to front and the the suit on over top with the mac tucked into the trousers. What a sensational feeling.
An hour or so later the missus says "we need more milk, can you run out please honey". What do you do I hear you ask, well I put my long PUL cagoule that's in BKS5 thick black shiny side in, on over everything and drove to the supermarket. It was a bit frightening but an exciting feeling walking around the store knowing what I was wearing but no one could see anything out of the ordinary. Just a guy in a rain suit out in the rain. Even had a couple of people I know stop and chat without any hint of a question of my attire.
Back home I removed the now wet cagoule and settled on the sofa to watch a bit of TV still wearing the mac and suit. Then later I went to bed, took off the rain suit jacked put on my glass clear black hood with breathing holes and rear zip, slipped under the covers and slept blissfully till this morning.

It's good to read this. It reminds me of the first few times I wore one of my macs out in public, it was as you say a bit frightening but exiting at the same time. There is heavy rain on the way here today and I shall be out enjoying a walk in it.
