new Stutterheim A/W 2024 collection - mayday, my breakfast wants to leave me the opposite way

Post by Tiefdruckgebiet »

Just saw the new f/w collection from Stutterheim... oh my goodness, tons of overpriced creepy and boring sh*t - since Alexander left the company nothing seems to go the right way (a few exceptions may appear from time to time, e.g. the long Stockholm opal coats in green and navyblue one year ago).

Color range is boring - esp. all the brown stuff, brown is one of the most boring and ugly colors for me (which color has a pile of sh*t?? ). Their winter coats look ugly as well, a double breasted mac without hood in pile-of-shit-brown or matte black for 500 EUR?? Really?

I can't understand why they are permanently unable to concentrate on their really good products like the Stockholm coats esp in long opal version. They should restock their black opal and even a burgundy opal would sell well if they don't overprice too hefty. Or they could offer a classic knee-length Rukka-style long cape in opal.

I think it won't take long if they desparately try to get rid off their new creepy stuff in endless sales...

I asked them about doing such a coat, but they didn't seem interested

I also saw it last night as well... it was absolutely hideous. I wasn't even remotely interested in this rubbish.

Yes, FarmerRain has a very similar yellow raincoat, but Stutterheim's PVC is just next level

I couldn’t agree more with all of you. I have two Yellow Stockholm jackets, the quality seems to have gotten slightly lower on the second one I purchased , but they are both wonderful. I love wearing them out as they are great when you don’t want to be completely geared up on a rainy day. I had always hoped they would make a matching rain bib but it is not looking promising.

it is disappointing when any high quality brand has a big decline. happened to hunter boots and also casabella gloves.

I think they think they'd have to bring further items beyond the classic "Rukka-style" raincoats, so they designed waterproof jogging pants, handbags, dogwear etc.... one of the better ideas for sure are the rain chelseas or for warm summer days the "concert" ponchos in opal, but it seems they lose their focus on their iconic coats more and more in order to serve a wider audience or so.

I mean they can bring out whatever they want, but first they should get the basics done, after that they could realize new ideas. And their second prob is a lack of bigger sizes, the last long Stockholm opal coats haven't been offerend in XXL which is my fav. size (a little bit more space for warm layering), luckily I can wear an XL as well, but XXL would be the better choice.
