Its that time of year.....
We are creeping towards the end of September. At last, five, maybe six months of cold and drizzle to look forward to. I love my dog. He doesn't care. All he needs is walkies, food, love, care and attention. Thats all. I walk him every day, once, twice, sometimes three times. The last five or six months, with the odd rare occasional rain storm, walking him, as much as I love him can be a chore! Boring old jeans and teeshirt, if really warm, cotton shorts. But now...... Its turning cooler, a morning mist, a chill in the air. A strong possibility of a shower, maybe rain. In a month or two, cold winds, sleet. Snow. How wonderful! My winter wardrobe is ready and waiting. My vast collection of damp, dreary, cold dog walking attire awaits. All very shiny, all with their attached hoods, all with their drawstrings, waiting to be pulled in tight. I love autumn and winter. For some strange reason, the dog walks seem to last longer, go further. I wonder why?
