Hi,
Quite strong winds here today but no rain for the moment. I often put on my rain jacket and pants, double nylon in black colour, and use them as windbreaker. Gives many more opportunities to go out walking in them compared to only using them when rakning.
When it’s windy and cold, I have a nylon down jacket under as well.
Do you use your rainwear as windbreaker or only when it’s raining?

I wear my Fort rainjacket as it is nice and warm and keeps the wind out.

I wear my nylon raincoats every day and when someone says "Well, you probably have the raincoat on today" I say that it's also windy today.
A nylon raincoat can be worn at all times because it is light and comfortable to wear.
A few years ago I had a girlfriend who I "taught" to wear a nylon raincoat. She often wore them as housecoats with a belt and rolled up sleeves.

My favourite go-to item of rainwear (as a windbreaker) is my shiny yellow hip-length Topshop raincoat.
Everyone absolutely loves it and they're always asking where I bought it

A PVC lined nylon cagoule is the ideal windbreaker. I wear mine with nothing underneath and love the feeling of the cold material playing on my bare skin. If I’m walking a dog and it’s windy, I try to judge the best direction to go to get maximum PVC buffeting!
Also like the crackly sound the raincoat makes as it ripples in the wind.
