Unusual Sighting in London Yesterday
I went to watch the lighting up of the Norwegian Christmas Tree in Trafalgar Square yesterday and by the time the ceremony had finished it was raining quite heavily. As I waited at Embankment station for an underground train back to Victoria, I was pleasantly surprised to see a very elegant, dark haired lady in a most unusual mackintosh. Made of heavy duty, shiny black PVC, it was single breasted (buttoned the man's way) with a serious, boxy hood, thick belt and proper buckled wrist straps. It fitted her perfectly and looked vaguely Scandinavian. There was no chance to strike up a conversation on a crowded train but she looked absolutely fabulous and very comfortable with what she was wearing.

If you normally travel that way perhaps you will see her again and be able to have a conversation, especially if it is raining again of course !
