does anyone remember those old fashioned school raincoats that girls used to wear, mostly they were gaberdine macs but i remember some were rubber lined cotton. my cousin had a goregous old green mac with a hood and i longed to have it, but she hated it and upon leaving school she took great delight in burning her mac.
i have always wanted one of these macs but never found one even on ebay, anyone have any ideas where i can get an old mac or if anyone still has one to sell.

You must be a bit older than Jane and I (early 40's) as most of the girls (and a few boys) wore see through plastic jelly jackets and coats in most of the senior school years, and these then turned into solid colour pvc jackets and coats at college.

Probably why pvc does so much for me now. All the pent up teen frustration at not being able to snog the girls in their raincoats. I was quite shy then, but university changed all that.
