PVC repairs

Does anyone know of where I can get some non PUL items repaired? I'm in the UK at the moment and was looking to save a little freight by getting them fixed while I'm here on holiday
Just an FYI - the better half suggested i try using straighteners to fix them.... It worked a treat....
It wasn't her GHDs, but a set she doesnt use anymore - the plates were ceramic and the heat was on towards its lowest setting....
