more daft prices

Post by merv »

somebody seems to be very optimistic/stupid/greedy (delete as you see fit) here, from what I have seen these do tend to go for decent money but nothing like the £99 starting price. Will be interesting to see if anybody fool enough to pay it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251234821537? ... 1423.l2649 happy bidding everybody, haha

Unfortunately Merv, someone will buy it and I bet it will be for much more than the price of £99. I tried unsuccessfully last month to get a Yellow PVC raincoat from e-bay up to my limit of £40 - even that was more than it was worth, and yet it went for a stupyfying £110 !

I would'nt mind so much if all these raincoats were actually being seen around the streets in public which you would have thought would boost the prices of these unique items, but they dissappear into private collections never to see the light of day again.

You have said it before Merv, some people have more money than sense...
Sense would be to actually wear these nice coats out in public for what they were made for !
Will you be bidding for it ? Ha! Ha!

certainly not, but one of those did go for £55 last week and a longer version has been on offer for £40 unsold for ages so if anybody does pay the £99 then they are bordering on brain dead, still we will see

interestingly the seller has reduced the starting price to £69, wonder if they look at these forums? still ridiculously high anyway. You got a good bargain there Paul, nice coat at a more realistic price

its actually getting quite comical now, the seller has reduced the starting price again to £49 with 4 days to go and still no bidders, and to make it even funnier the seller has actually got two of them auctioning at the same time, wonder how far down they will go by Tuesday

At the moment it is showing no bidders!
And it has got damage on the jacket to.
I have a feeling it may not sell for what they are trying to get.
