Just thought I'd share a few sightings having spent the weekend there
Yesterday the weather took a turn for the worse at 10am, and out came the raincoats. Most common sighting was the traditional trenchcoat, and by traditional, I mean traditional. No fancy styles, just good old fashioned Burberry tradition. Saw many a lady butttoned to the neck, belted tightly. Lengths were generally above the knee, but occassionally you would see a full length version.
Also saw a small group of girls dressed in raincoats, some in cotton gaberdene style, and some in nylon pakamacs; all worn with a school uniform. Hard to say if they were with parents or teachers, but they were certainly from a private school of some sort. They were very well drilled, in lines of 2, walking along the left bank on the way to the Louvre. Very smart indeed
