Unbelievable

Apparently this seller on ebay is aware that there is a market out there for rainwear as a fetish object, because she always has tons of PVC & vinyl raincoats for sale, mostly overpriced. But this one in particular stands out, since it's the same one I posted a few weeks ago, still available on overstock.com for $47. At least wait until they're sold out and in demand before you start jacking up the price, lady!

the sheer cheek of some sellers is breathtaking, but then on the other hand while people are stupid enough to buy these overpriced items then it will continue, seems some people have more money than sense with what they are prepared to pay. There are still bargains out there if you look like the 8 UK pounds for the pakamacs I posted recently which hopefully some people have taken up

Yes I'm always amazed on ebay. You can get some great bargains but I always do a Google search as well. It happrned last week, not rainwear but some tech stuff. The eventual buyer paid more for a second hand item than they could have bought it new. As they say, common sense isn't common.

actually reminds me of when I put afew cds I didnt want on ebay. Most sold for smallish amounts but a Moody Blues one went to 14 pounds, it was available from HMV new for only 10. I couldnt believe my luck or the buyers stupidity. Sorry to go off topic but it illustrates the point rather well. Oh and I wasnt being greedy, they all started at 99p but thats auctions for you.

Yep I know that seller. They are in South Bend, Indiana. They have an enormous selection. Most of them are overpriced. I just won a shiny green pvc raincoat with no lining for $39. I bought a bunch of lower priced raincoats from them last November.

This topic seems to raise its head on a regular basis

eBay is a free market

A Seller can chose whatever starting value they want and they pay a fee based on that value, if they dont sell the item they lose that fee

A Buyer has the choice to make a bid or not

Why is it such an issue ??
