Would you want to see your wife or girlfriend wearing one of those?
And as you say are they waterproof?
May as well go for a proper waterproof rain suit

would have thought if they were made by Peter Storm they are probably waterproof as described. Perhaps somebody will buy one and try it out is the only way.
