more site problems

Post by merv »

anyone else finding it difficult to get the site to load, seems to work sometimes and then not at others. Presumaby this is the lack of activity for some days. I do hope people don't give up on the site but I fear it could be going that way.

Thoughts everybody?

Not just you Merv, it's been a pain in the arse trying to get on here, took over two minutes for it to load and that's on 'super fast' broadband. I had a couple of things to post but I can't be bothered at the moment.

I'm having problems too, and I don't think it's because the lack of activity anyway I won't post things as long as these problems continue.

I don't think Merv meant that the lack of activity caused the error but rather that the error caused the lack of activity. On this last occasion. it came up as an "SQL Error" which points to a problem with the server, as I suggested before. I wonder if Paul knows whether any other South African based sites are experiencing the same problem.

thanks Domino, that was rather what I was getting at. would be a shame if this site were to disappear or become unused as there are so few decent rainwear sites on the net.

I do wonder whether Paul has kinda lost interest with a child to cope with now its clearly a change in lifestyle and the time to devote to this kind of thing may be proving difficult for him, not to mention the cost of running it.

No doubt the powers that be will tell us at some point what is going on

I'll contact Paul & find out what's going on here.

I've also been experiencing the exact same issues as well

absolutely bloody hopeless isnt it. am fast beginning to think that the site is on its last legs. Can quite understand Paul losing interest in it with a young child to take up his time, such a shame though, oh well
