This is just ridiculous

There's nothing wrong with wishing to earn a quid or two, but this is really pushing the boundaries. I bet he doesn't sell a single one.

we seem to constantly cover the same ground over prices. I know I wouldnt be a customer at that price but it only needs a couple of people with more money than sense and the seller gets lucky

True

When I sell on eBay I try to set a 'realistic' starting price if I get it wrong then no one buys anything and I lose my fees

If I get it right the item sells and I make a few quid, if Im lucky enough to have more than one person bid then I make more than I expected so Im very happy

hundred dollars are an average income in China, per month. Who would buy a raincoat for 100 USD that costs 5 USD to manufacture ?

I am sorry, but I think I got the greatest shock in regards to price. . .

I went to Mario's in Seattle, Washingon (High end fasion store). I saw some clear plastic rainwear from Prada.

Here is the shocker. The clear coats were priced from $600.00 and up.

Not only that, one of them was already falling apart in the rack. They used single stitching and they did not anchor the ends of the seams into the hem.

And get this! Because it was falling apart, it was marked down from $600.00 to something just over $400.00.

I laughed so hard that I almost wet my pants and had to run out of that store in order not to cause a scene.

Mark :)

I think you have to expect to pay top dollar for prada. It is top designer after all. The fact that the quality is so poor shows the stupidity of people paying for such labels.

On the high street, I was delighted to see this smooth, buttery yellow PVC rainjacket, but slightly horrified at the price

Superdry are not exactly known for being the cheapest on the high street. Its all rather pretentious and attracts people who will pay over the odds for the superdry label.
