I saw recently that Hunter has released a new style of short men's rain boots with laces. Unlike the poncho talked about earlier this week on the forum, these may actually sell as this is the closest thing out there for rain boots for city dress. As excited as I am about the offering and as happy to see something much better than last year's blue/orange version, the following improvements should be made:
1. Price point: at that price I might as well buy the short original Hunters
2. The colors- are guys really buying bright blue or bright red? The slate is ok and so is the olive but normal black and normal medium brown should have been offered

I am happy but not enough to spend that type of money.

Perhaps if Kamik is reading this forum they could introduce their own version at a lower price point with colors men would wear actually.

I have some red canvas hi-tops which I often wear for work wth jeans or chinos but bright red rainboots may be abit OTT. Certainly wouldnt want to spend a fortune on them either

I just saw they have introduced black as a color. Still expensive.

I like the two-toned black & cobalt blue original wellies and may have to break down & buy a pair of those.

BillP-
Those Hunter Wellies two tone black and cobalt color have gone on sale. The US Hunter web site as of today lists them at US $102 now with a plethora of sizes. Time to buy?

Hi Valenteen,
Thank you for the eBay post. I have not seen that version of Hunters before. They don't fit me either.
For the right individual they are a good deal.
The style and some of Hunter has me puzzled a bit. I appreciate Hunter for offering the boots to bring tall rain boots in fashion. I also appreciate the multiple versions and all sorts of innovative styles and colors available. This forum has also talked about their PVC-like semi clear smoke-brownish colored poncho too. What I don't understand is some of the styles that seem either way over the top or style choices that simply are too strange to get mass sales appeal.

Now, perhaps many have strange appeals, but I personally don't get Hunter black boots with the white "custom white paint" designs as the eBay auction piece has. How many of you like it? For me, it takes a wonderfully practical black lace up boot and adds a "spilled paint" look to it making it unwearable for the average buyer due to the odd design like house paint was brushed on it by mistake. Am I missing something here? Then again, the oddity Hunter models generally sell as a more reasonable price on eBay lately even though those same non-popular models perhaps sold for more when new. For that I can be thankful.

have to agree with you Shinyphile. they look hideous, cannot imagine anyone wanting to wear them at all
