I guess there is nothing wrong with these products but they are not as well made as similar ones from England.

The workmanship just isn't there. I remember the use of tapes inside to make the garment waterproof and they were put on without the care that you would think.

But they are much cheaper than the English mackintoshes and may be for you.

Satin is a silky looking material. I'm not sure what it's made of but the outside shines and I think it looks good.

I guess the adage "you get what you pay for" is true. However, as Stephie points out, if you are very specific about what you need, Vikas will make sure the garment is made to your exact specifications. I ordered a "ghat" single breasted trench in black single texture satin and was somewhat disappointed that the belt was too short, it only had two belt loops on the sides so the belt hung funny in the back, and that the buttons were sewn loosely and one of them fell off the first time my wife wore it. But I took it to a local tailor to fix and even after the added expense it was still a bargain for such a beautiful coat. My second time around, I ordered the heavier double breasted red double texture satin "Mallik" trench, and while it cost about $75 more than the ghat, it was well worth it, but this time I made sure to request extra attention to the buttons (they were reinforced), longer length belt and and extra belt loop on the back seam. My wife greatly prefers this coat because of the better quality workmanship, and as it turns out she much prefers the double texture since she doesn't like the feeling of rubber next to her skin, and the rubber smell is much less pronounced (I will admit, as much as I love the aroma of a rubber lined mac, when she wore the single texture for an extended period in warmer weather she would sweat and the smell of her sweat mixed with the rubber was somewhat unpleasant, almost skunk-like).
