Sorry to go off piste guys but don't you think its hypocritical of the government to say that we need to protect free speech and liberty and then they tell the Internet providers that they must put a filter on your porn browsing (or anything "they" decide is not suitable for you) and you then have to go to your ISP provider and ask them to turn it off! I'm really getting sick of these Nanny state fucking wankers that run our country. Sorry, rant over

We don't have a internet filter like in the U.K. but I understand your anger, if you want to circumvent the filter use: https://www.torproject.org/

I always thought the Brits were more "adult" when it came to depictions of sex or fetishes on the internet, but what you all are suffering is an anathema to the whole concept of freedom of speech. I read stories about this on fb from English friends and all I got to say is

toward politicians who feel "anointed" or "obligated" to censor media "For the Greater Good". Here across the pond, we have politicians that want to do the same and "Commanded by God" to do so.

I suppose the argument is that it avoids children seeing unsuitable material. Perhaps better parenting and knowing what your children are doing would be better than governments needing to cover their backs

I agree Merv, if parents did their job properly instead of just ignoring kids and criticising teachers for trying to control their rioting kids we may not need "Nanny filters"

Yes, but you have to remember the current PM 'call me Dave' left his kid in a pub, of course that was the nanny's fault

If only they were open minded enough to enjoy that kind of fun - mind you quite a number of them could do with a good slap!!!!
