Today's Weather

Post by delboy »

What great day today was for wearing a raincoat.

I went out today wearing my recently purchased heavier weight black PU trench coat from Weathervain with matching trousers and gloves and was also using a clear golfing size umbrella.

I was complimented in being suitably dressed for the weather.

I agree May 14th was a wonderful day for we rainwear enthusiasts and like many others, I fully enjoyed it by wearing my red rubberlined satin mac, tightly belted ,matching sou'wester and red Hunters to work. I strolled slowly to the bus stop to ensure that my mac was really soaked and after a short journey during which I received many compliments on my attire from fellow travellers, I arrived at the office a very happy person.!!

My mackintosh was also admired by my colleagues as it slowly dried throughout the day and they couldn't believe it was nearly 15 years old as it is in excellent condition, which is just as well because I couldn't afford to replace it these days. !!
My return journey was also very enjoyable as , the rain had been replaced by warm sunshine despite which I wore my mac ,sou'wester and wellies and savoured the warm aroma evading form my apparel. !!

A lovely day. !!

Lucky! I'm so bummed, after my great raincoat weather day last Monday we've had next to nothing...we were promised severe storms on Saturday & Sunday only to have them fizzle out. Sunday we got some moderately heavy rain but we were out doing yard work in the heat all day, and it came & went while we were in the shower so we couldn't go out to enjoy it.

The weather in Texas is going crazy. We've had record rainfalls in May and it just won't stop. They say we will get a wetter but cooler than average summer. I have 110 raincoats, bring it:)
