Do you consider your rainwear fetish a blessing, a curse, or 50/50? Please vote. Thank you.

(I only ask this, as I sometimes wish I didn't like rain wear so much - there's so much to hide, it's not exactly what you talk about with your mates, and it's not the first thing you're likely to discuss with a prospective partner: "Ahem - and on Friday nights I'd really like you to put on my oldest oilskins and get under the duvet with me ...")

Interesting topic.... Most of us could write a book containing all our thoughts regarding this topic!

I'll keep this short though: I regard my fetishistic interests (including plastic & PVC rainwear, plastic panties, bondage, lifejackets & some light cross-dressing) as both a blessing & a curse for various reasons.

On one hand, I feel fortunate to be gifted with such a wide & varied range of sexual interests; I'll never be bored with vanilla love-making like so many are. I can also wear my rainwear outdoors or enjoy being tied up for hours and hours. You could say that they are both very extended forms of foreplay....

When I'm lucky to enjoy these with a really active and willing partner; I feel like I'm in Heaven.... Heaven on Earth. There's nothing quite like cuddling up with your partner clad in plastic from head to toe.... or helplessly looking on whilst being tied up hand & foot along with the promise that I can wait until she decides to release you!

On the other hand, my special interests could be called a curse for several reasons:

1) The difficulty of finding suitably understanding & open-minded partners willing to participate with you.
2) The agony of "playing" with a clearly unhappy and unenthusiastic partner who makes no bones regarding her feelings...
3) The rather high expenses involved with my interests such as collecting rainwear or bondage toys.
4) The extreme embarrassment being busted by parents or sisters wearing your (or theirs!) rainwear or undies!....

Overall though.... I wouldn't change a thing....!!

Have to say it's not something I have really thought about but then while it is something i enjoy it is only part of my life and not all-consuming

It's a blessing for me, a pleasure that is not given to everyone.

given i keep it a secret from my family (although my parents know about my collection) it can be a bit of a curse. sometimes i feel like it is a drug, but it is also the only thing that can calm me down when being alone. two things that i get anxiety from though are the fear of overheating when i sweat and of course any potential hypoxic brain injuries when wearing a tight hood or an enclosure suit that has little to no air holes.

I put 50/50. It is a great thing to be into, totally harmless and whatnot but at the same time it takes all my money.

Whilst i totally embrace it and thoroughly enjoy rainwear, like any fetishes, finding someone who enjoys it as much as you do can be rare with some of the less mainstream ones such as rainwear, especially when your thing is for cagoules.
Still, lucky that my OH is happy for me to wear them to bed etc and will join in as they know how much cagoules, pvc and plastic turns me on and they benefit from it.

PVC raincoats excite you, I understand you well, I feel the same as you. Your husband loves it when you wear them. Me, my wife because I'm a man, a straight man, accepts that I wear them but unfortunately, it doesn't matter to her. So, when I put on my pvc raincoat to please myself, I feel a bit selfish.
Of course I have sex without a raincoat, but with it, it increases the excitement tenfold!

I'd hardly say it's a negative or a curse.

You are who you are: fetishes develop during childhood, by a process referred to by psychologists as Imprinting.

If it ain't a PVC/PVC raincoat fetish, it could be, say, a foot fetish or a fur fetish. A smoking fetish. An inflatable fetish or balloon fetish. A stiletto fetish. And so on.

As long as one is not acting weird with their fetish, it's all fine in my book.

An example of someone with a fetish acting weird: in the US some guy with a foot fetish was caught red-handed under a lady's car in a Walmart carpark. He was trying to get a close-up view of the woman's ankles. He was rightly arrested and charged for being a creep.

As long as you are not following or stalking a stranger wearing a PVC raincoat (an example of someone with a PVC rainwear fetish acting weird), then there's no wrong, per se, having a PVC rainwear fetish.

As long as you can enjoy sexual intimacy with your GF or wife without her HAVING to wear a PVC raincoat if she chooses not to (or if she ain't into the PVC fetish herself), then the fetish is not a negative or a curse (by the way: psychotherapists or sex therapists can help if your fetish is such that you cannot enjoy sex without the fetish item/object being present in your sexual activities with your GF or wife).
