I had a very similar experience on Sunday afternoon as I got off a bus near a pub I was meeting a friend at. On the other side of the road I noticed two women, one wearing a stunning pink hooded PVC mac. As luck would have it they were walking in the same direction as I was so I paced them on the opposide side of the road, then when they were held up at traffic lights I got ahead and could tail them from ahead, wondering if there was any way to get a photo without it being obvious. Finally they walked past the pub window (I hoped they were coming in but no such luck) so I got a closer look - I think they were mother (40s) and daughter (late teens/20s), the one with the mac being the daughter. As it happens I'll be there around the same time next Sunday.
Idea for next time shinypvcaddict - less spooky would be to ask the girl where she got the mac as you'd like to get one for your wife/girlfriend.

you have to wonder why more women dont wear raincoats in public when they can be stalked by creepy guys because of what they wear

Just had two good sightings in my town. One was the topshop baby blue quilted plastic raincoat and the other was a primark red semi clear raincoat, the wife has the topshop raincoats in blue and black but refuses to wear them outside. I think they look great on with jeans and trainers.

I don't normally agree with Merv either, but your post (and attitude towards women) makes me feel very uncomfortable.
Merv is absolutely correct when he says it's no "wonder why more women dont wear raincoats in public when they can be stalked by creepy guys because of what they wear".
Anyway, you are treading on very thin ice here; by which I mean banning from this forum if you persist in this vein.
I also STRONGLY suggest you seek professional counselling before you do cross that line in public.

Having said that, there is nothing wrong with commenting on nice sightings you've made, but following/stalking people for miles through town is just not on. It's also very poor form photographing people without their consent. It's even WORSE form when you photograph said people with the full intent of posting their images on a fetish forum.

I endorse the views of Merv and mason.
I don't know the "disease" from which he suffers but I do expect he'll be talking to the police really soon. And I don't want to see the police or some other government body messing about with this site.
So get help today "shinypvcaddict" or face the consequences!

Don't worry Shinypvcaddict there are other forums on the internet were you can post freely.

I think we should cut shinypvcaddict a bit of a break here. One of the effects of autism like conditions is impulsive behaviour and he isn't saying he acted on those impulses but how he feels and I think he recognises that some of these behaviours which are ones he struggles with are not acceptable public behaviour. It can bring you to the attention of the authorities if you make people uncomfortable and I think the underlying post isn't that sinister. He sounds like a young person trying to work out the boundaries of acceptability.
Incidentally I saw one of those shiny yellow macs today. I have no idea who makes them but the wearer was a schoolgirl so perhaps they don't make them in larger adult sizes. There are a number of retailers in the UK selling PVC macs this year and in particular many in that smaller woman/large child size range which hasn't often been the case.

yeah there's always the fabled Plastic Bloody Rainwear Club for starters....meeting soon in a telephone box near you!!
There's another aspect to the Shinypvcaddict postings: whether he himself is crossing any lines or not, there is a possibility that someone else with less of a moral code and more of a sense of entitlement, may read these postings and find justification for their own behaviour, or even see them as a challenge to 'push the envelope' even further. We don't need it.

Calm down, calm down (said in a Liverpool accent), I think its fair to say we've all got a bit excited when we spot a PVC raincoat being worn in the street and on one occasion I even asked the girl where she bought the coat (purely for marketing reasons you understand) but if you follow someone for the sole reason of getting closer or recording or taking a picture then that is a step too far, and you are certainly in danger of either being thumped by a disgruntled boyfriend or having your collar felt by plod.
ShinyPVCaddict has admitted he has Asperger's syndrome and as a form of autism it means that he does not always adhere to social conformities and may not even realise he is being offensive, having said that there is no excuse for what he is doing.
I think we should be a bit more supportive rather than lambasting the guy because to me it sounds like a cry for help.
ShinyPVCaddict, if you are reading this post, what you are writing in this forum is offensive, it is wrong and has crossed a line so I think you need to confide in someone you trust and get some professional help going forward.
