Introducing Myself

Hi,

I am a male currently a student. I have for as long as I can remember have been interested in wellies and that later developed into a fetish. I do also like rainwear but i prefer wellies. I don't wear them in public that much as i get kind of nervous that people are judging me for wearing them. If only men wore them more in public it would encourage more males to wear them as well. What do you guys think? Any comments would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

It's easy if you think about it and welcome to the forum. Lots of people have hobbies and activities that involve rubber boots so it's just a case of finding something and picking up a nice pair that you can say are there because of your hobby. Even country walks is a good enough reason. Once people see you have a pair and a reason for having them then they won't give you a second glance. If anybody does chances are that they are only looking as they have a similar interest!

Welcome to the forum!

As a student, if you're living away from home take advantage of your independence whilst you can. Order more wellies and don't worry about wearing them aroud the house or outdoors!
As I just graduated in June and back living with my parents I'm struggling to enjoy my fetish. Even a parcel coming through the post raises so many questions.

As Cagoulion said find a hobby to wear them, country walks and the beach is a great one!

Enjoy!

all a case of whats appropriate isn't it. If you went out on a hot summers day wearing wellies when everyone else is in flip flops people may think its abit odd but on a wet day I think people will be more interested in staying dry themselves than worry about what someone else is doing. As also said walks in the country or where it is possibly muddy and damp underfoot wellies just the thing. Just don''t be self conscious

I know what you mean about feeling people are judging you. When I was much younger struggling with my fetish and thinking it was just me etc, I too felt very self-conscious about wearing items in public; whether it was wellies or plastic raincoats or waterproofs. It is a big step, but once you have taken that leap there really is no looking back. Like others on here have said, maybe start off by involving the wearing of wellies with a hobby like fishing, country walks, helping local conservation groups etc. You will soon find that others really are not at all interested in what you are wearing and couldn't care less and you will then get the benefit of enjoying to wear your wellies!

I have 12 pairs of wellies myself just now and love wearing them for welly walks round the local river or sometimes even into town on a wet rainy day. Nobody batters an eyelid, don't worry too much about it and most of all, just enjoy yourself !

Welcome to the forum, dont worry about what others think, unless you do something to draw attention to yourself , most people are too busy getting on with their own lives to be concerned with what you are doing :)

Hi,
Welcome to the forum, I'm sure that you'll enjoy yourself here and receive sound advice.
Mine is to just enjoy wearing your wellies as often as possible and as Ray says, don't worry what other people think. I wear my mackintoshes whenever possible and have received many complements from passers by who are often very envious of me keeping dry in the rain. Whenever questioned , I tell people where I've bought my mackintoshes and I'm sure I've introduced many to the joys and pleasures of wearing "proper rainwear."
Good luck ,don't worry and just enjoy yourself.x

Well you have got great advice here . But remember most of us on this site ( I am being presumptuous here ) do know exactly what you mean and still have that issue lurking in the back of the mind . I think the bottom line is that if you want to wear your rainwear in public without feeling self conscious , do not be an exhibitionist or go out of your way to attract attention . So as Merv says wearing rainbow colored PVC & pink rain boots when the sun is shining is a " no - no " . Also often it is in your mind that people are judging you , not theirs . I am always careful to wear just about what I think I can get away with & we all know how enjoyable that is !
So be courageous but not stupid !
