have to agree the site has completely lost its direction and sense of purpose. I suspsect that Paul has kinda lost interest in it and has farmed it out to other people to curate as they see fit. The other thing of course is that a site like this will always have limted appeal so perhaps the more tenuous links to rainwear (like nothing to do with it in reality) are tolerated to make the site look abit busier than it would be otherwise. The only problem being that the people for whom rainwear was the primary interest will merely drift away and leave it those who wish to piss over their wellies and the like.

Sadly, I have to agree too, the expansion into other fetishes with only tenuous links to rainwear is starting to lose my interest and with photos no longer being uploaded directly to the forum now I can see the traffic on the site starting to dwindle or head in a different direction at least, I have to admit, I spend more time on FetLife than here.

Those who produce rainwear orientated media don't really focus on rainwear as a whole but many fetishes, and for a hefty price! I don't blame them for putting a price on their work; going on the "fetish rainwear" facebook page is disgusting because of the sheer blatent disregard for copyrighted material. I don't think i've ever seen a piece of original content on there! I believe the latest profile is Marek Marecki, who has just shared a photo from fetish-memoirs.com of Shannon in a green rukka, which is lovely, but it has been plastered everywhere. Poor model.
My partner and I would love to share our own rainwear images, to this website, and fetlife, but we fear they'll get ripped apart within seconds by those bastards.

So should I shut this down? I could do with saving on the hosting and domain costs now that our local currency has fallen to the dollar.

There's mountains of stuff on the social media and the archive newsreels like British Pathe...especially if you prefer 'natural' contexts. Paul I appreciate your efforts over a great many years but ultimately it's your time and money.

Paul - don't be put off by a few miserable old gits who have nothing better to do than criticise others because of their postings. Last time I looked "wellies" were rainwear and this is a rainwear forum. If you don't like pissing on them then don't read the thread, it's easily done and it's your choice. Just because it doesn't fit in with your own kinks doesn't mean it doesn't fit in with others out there. We are all different and rainwear covers a broad spectrum other than just raincoats. After all it's not the Raincoat Forum! if you don't like what you see then either stop reading it or don't view the site anymore but don't ruin it for those that do and for those that don't constantly criticise. If you look at Merv's postings, the majority of them criticise other's postings. Sometimes it's easier to just keep your thoughts to yourself and not offend others (I have no issue with offending Merv because he persistently does it to others who post). People have often in the past criticised others for posting stories or other posts when english is not their first language. So what! At least they have made the effort to post something that they think will appeal to some of the others and it is rainwear related. Who voted them in as the Grammar Police! Paul - the decision is ultimately yours, but I'm just saying don't be put off by a few moaners, I am sure there are others out there who do appreciate your efforts and you can guarantee there will be more people moaning if you remove the site!

Sadly it is the odd few that spoil it for those who enjoy the comments/thoughts of many who share the attraction to rainwear

Tough crowd ehh Paul? When I first came on line many moons ago my first favourite site was one made by Paul. It was brilliant to have a site dedicated to rainwear/plastic stuff and the lovely Rita is still one of my favourite models ever.
I've followed his stuff ever since and I love the site for what it is, a place to chat about rainwear and a lot of things that relate to that. If a thread isn't someone's cup of tea then move on or even better create your own about what you like. Anybody can post about what they don't like but it only becomes a community if you contribute and chat. I have noticed that there are some people that come to sites like this just for the pictures and maybe hosting stuff on imjur or the like could allow pics to be shown without causing headaches for the host and watermarking does help slow down theft of images. However it's the only dedicated rainwear site I go to these days (well apart from Janet and Nick) and it's free. What's not to like?
I for one appreciate the hard work that goes into websites such as this one. There are no fortunes to be made from websites about rainwear just as there's little reward for most other websites on minority interests. We do things 'cos we love them. That's how it should be.

Don`t get me wrong - we`re all freaks; I just thought this was the place for raincoats. Ho hum.
Ho hum indeed, maybe the site would be more active / on topic if some people actually made some contribution to it 81 posts in almost six years isn't exactly going to keep the site alive
You seem to have a bee in your bonnet about a story that you wrote that was removed by Paul, I can't remember the story you're referring too but I can only assume that if Paul removed the story then he had good reason, especially if others had made complaints
