Hi
You seem to have had a nice time in Leeds. Its great to have wife who joins in the fun.I introuduced my wife to rubber lined nylon rainwear when we first met and she has had many such mackintoshes since. When we ordered her latest one she asked if we could try it made inside out with the rubber on the outside,When it arrived and she first put it on she was thrilled to bits.It is her favourit mackintosh and she wears it at every oportunity She loves it when people comment on it.Only last week she wore it when we went out for a meal The waiter asked if he could take her coat but she said she would like to keep it on .During the meal she went to the Ladies and whilst she was away a coiuple on he next table asked if my wife's coat was made of rubberWhen I said " Yes" they became very interesed. The lady sdaid she wished she was brave enough to wear one.We had a very stimulating discussion with the lady taking the oppofrtunity to feel the mackintosh. We have had a lot of fun with my wife wearing mackintosh and soliciting comments-it's a turn on for us both

I'm glad that you both enjoy accompanying your wives when they wear their mackintosh and I'm interested in learning of the approaches you've received from admirers.I always wear one of my rubber-lined mackintoshes when the weather is bad and I'm often approached by ladies who complement me on my proper apparel and sometimes by males who enquire where I've purchased them.I sense there is a lot of interest in the proper mackintosh.
Who knows, perhaps there will be a revival in the demand for real waterproof rubber mackintoshes when we can purchase them at reasonable prices again but I'm probably being too optimistic.!!!
ONE CAN BUT DREAM.!!!!

Yes I have done that.I bought some rubberline nylon and went to a tailor in Bath.I asked if he could make some stylish trousers for my wife.He was worried that his machines would not c ope with the rubber but it did and he made her a v ery stylish pair. She had to go t o 3 fittings and chatted about this and that but he neve mentioned the strange material. They cost about £80 to make.adly after mch wear they ae lolking a b it tired
