I remember there was at one time a Rubber News which I have only heard mention of by Gillian Freeman ; Rainwear Review* (an issue of which carried a picture of a model wearing satin Delby mackintosh with caption stating it had been purchased in Harrods and lamenting the fact that there was no demand for such superb luxurious material anymore, an encomium, in fact, which I for one consider wholly justified, the piece also offered to replicate the illustrated rubber mackintosh at a cost of...there was also a touching farewell from the editor of RR who was reportedly terminally ill, saying how his beloved rainwear would see him through to the end, or words to that effect). The Mackintosh Magazine was another, and the coyly named Impermeable Delectable, whose archive I have so far been unable to penetrate.
