Re: favourite mac
Well, I have 2. Both are off-white single-texture rubber mackintoshes. The first is not as thick as the other but, depending on the weather, either will do.
As for my wife, she has a blue satin single-texture mackintosh and she loves it.

Re: favourite mac
Has to be one of my peter Storm cagoules or one of my kag in a bag cagoules
Lets get swishy!
Re: favourite mac
Although I have many raincoats I will normally wear my SBR trenchcoat from Storm clouds around town as it is a real smart mac and I have had some nice remarks in the past while wearing it.
My other favourite is my shiny heavy Black pvc mac which I still have from my Navy service in the 1980s, both look even better with a Sou'Wester.

Re: favourite mac
My favourite mac has to be my PUL mac. Although it was sold as a woman's mac it probably fits me better than the mans mac that I had before. My best item of rainwear was a two piece yellow pvc rainsuit which bore the label "Plus 50 Kingswood, Bristol", although it also had made in Ireland on it.Does anyone in the Bristol area know anything about this firm? I should think it was made in the 1980's but I found it in a charity shop about 8 years ago.

Re: favourite mac
An early 1970's shiny black PVC raincoat from Dannimac, purchased from the Army and Navy Department store in Victoria, was a favourite that gave good service, sometimes at the cost, not unfamiliar in those days, of wet knees and calves. But the best by far was a made to measure, belted and double breasted, raglan sleeved SBR mackintosh from Weather or Not which I still have, albeit that the taped seams and collar have long since "gone". I was lucky to meet Mr and Mrs Vane on occasions and understand how much work they put in to developing their superb SBR fabric and macs.
Re: favourite mac
Same as Rukkacrazy,my long and shiny blue pvc rukka raincoat, and of course my black oilskin cape from the 50s,ex police cape.

Re: favourite mac
Frequently wear both my shiny Navy (Chelsea) and shiny black (Kensington) 3/4 macks by Rainmac, and on the odd occasion the long red one (Carnaby).
Have also a 3/4 Cream (Kensington), and full length Brown (Carnaby), together with a Grey (Carnaby) too

Would love to wear a raincape all of the time , but generally in London its waterproof trousers and a cagoule or long raincoat
Re: favourite mac
I only have one Mac! So it has to be my genuine Double textured Macintosh in olive.
