Anyway, I have just been made redundant after 10 years at same company. An ok layout. Now, if I get another job quite quickly I will finally be able to invest in the rubberised satin trench coat I have yearned for for a number of years
Would just be nice to find a special friend/companion to encourage me to show it off in public

I hope you get your trenchcoat in time for the traditional British summer of relentless rain ! When you do let us know, I should think you will have no problem finding some rainwear enthusiasts to join you in showing it off in public.
I've been in weathervain once and felt overwhelmed. I went with a male friend and he asked me to try on a PU trench, it felt lovely on but I decided to decline his generous offer. Once I'd seen the rubberised satin ones I decided that's the one I will one day buy. I have a few fetishes, lots involve satin, some involve feeling restrictive and a tad uncomfortable, but all excite me. Would be great to one day find a special friend or partner to make the effort for and explore these fetishes further. Please tell us what color mackintosh you buy, my wife has two satin mackintoshes from Weathervain. One is black satin and the other is blue. Apart from my fetish, the advantage to her is that they are both completely waterproof and windproof.
I'm thinking black but I really am very keen on the blue and red too. I think for my first coat I will get black. Will get more in the future if I find a special someone to wear them for. Quite liking the capes too, but not sure if I would go public with one of those.
Be thankful you have someone to share you interest. I'm guessing when I buy mine, I'm going to be hiding around indoors with the curtains closed wearing mind
Don't be worried about that. All I can tell you is that every time she wears her rubber-lined satin mackintosh, all she gets is praise and that is in the USA and the UK when we are on holiday.
