Enforced Raincoat Fitting

Post by jodie »

I was thinking after my previous post that has anyones partner ever forced them to go to a ladies outfitters not a large department store to be fitted for ladies raincoats and were your measurments taken been a because you may of been a man and the lady assistant was not sure of your size in ladies raincoats. Then made to look at various styles trying then on in the shop till your partner like what they saw you in looking at yourself in the mirror .

Not quite the same but I HAVE been through an enforced raincoat fitting at my mother's instigation. This was in an old fashioned outfitters with me trying on lots of style, colour and size combinations. The latst time was for a nylon pakamac aged 17 and would happen once a year or so.

Never had the pleasure but it does sound as though it could be fun, my worry would be for the assistant, they may well feel embarrassed and that would be unfair. 8-)

In my personal experience the assistant thrived on my discomfort, ably assisting my mother find the right pakamac for me. Over time they got to know each other well
