PVCulike rainwear

I have never ordered anything from PVCulike because I am not sure what the material is going to be like. I am very selective with the rainwear I enjoy (must be made of rubber or a sticky PVC). Is the rainwear that sticky PVC with a rubbery feeling or is it more like a crinkly plastic similar to a disposable rain poncho?

I am not sure about this but I belive they will send a sample of the material for a small fee. The mac that I have is smooth and fairly light in weight. I wouldn't describe it as sticky.

I was looking at the reversible blue and yellow rainsuit and I want to know if it feels like a vintage raincoat from the 1980's just like the ones children had. do all the materials have the same texture or does it vary?

The blue/yellow 450mil pvc garments from PUL are the sticky kind on the blue side . Others are the generally the smooth and fairly light type . As far as I know they don't do the flimsy disposable material at all. Everything I have from PUL , I like & it is very reasonably priced .

Does it feel like the same material from a children's raincoat where it is squishy or is it firm like a shower curtain? I want to make sure that it is not like a thick plastic bag and has a rubbery sensation to it such as with some rainboots and cleaning gloves.

i have and have had many coats from PUL.
the yellow / blue (Type BLS4) has 2 flavors :
one is china made (it is very shiny, very noisy, very rubbery, very clingy)
one is UK made (less shiny, less noisy, less rubbery, less clingy)
the rainsuit was china made. the RA68 coat was UK made.
i have them both, and it is a big difference.
the other coats are from 200 micron PVC, and here i like the glass clear ones in red, blue and black.
The opaque ones aren't as shiny, less rubbery, less noisy, less clingy.
hope this helps.

so if I enjoy wearing rubber, which I do, then go for the china made suit? I wish there was a way to get it customized.
When you said 2 flavors, do you mean that the different colors have a difference in textures or that both come UK and China made?

My rainsuit finally arrived. I got in a small. the pants feel very snug and the jacket fits but the zipper all the way up can be a bit discomforting. The material also has a slightly gritty feel to it.
