Whats the best place in this country to get rain, being in the south east, it never seems to rain anymore, no chance of wearing my raingear

the west, with the weather systems coming in from the Atlantic, while it was dry here in the east a couple of weeks back racing at Newton Abbot in Devon was abandoned due to waterlogging of the track

The Lake District is known for its heavy rainfalls, believe a small place there has heaviest rainfall in uk
Broad minded enough to acknowledge we all enjoy different things:)

Come to South Wales. As Merv quite rightly states the south west and Wales has more than its fair share of wet weather.
Saying that it has been quite dry and bright for the last week, but it won't be long before the heavens open again.

At last! Here in Yorkshire it has been dry for a while. However there have been heavy showers in the last couple of days. I had to go out early afternoon and there was heavy rain. On went my long shiny black PVC raincoat as I went out for the bus to town. It was good to get wet in my mac again.

As you say rubbermac, so what if you get a few stares. I'm at an age where I don't care what people think about what I wear in the rain. I've had a couple of odd looks from younger guys but that's outweighed by the smiles you can get from girls!
