I don't wish to be unappreciative here but is it so difficult to include a link when referring to another website, just makes it so much easier for everyone, and it isn't against this sites rules to do so

Unfortunately the hunter brand is so expensive, but is low quality. Their rainboots are not much better than the much cheaper brands. A pre-2006 pair that is in good condition will probably last longer than a modern pair that is new. I am not sure how their new raincoats are.

You are right about their boots but in the last couple of years they have changed where they are manufactured and the spec and are very good now, especially the John Norris ones

Aigle and Le Chameau are two brands that blow Hunter away in terms of quality and durability.

My apologies for not posting a link - I'm in a hurry to get out the door - but they're easy enough to find online even in the States, and much more so in Europe. Unlike Hunter, both brands still manufacture their boots largely by hand using artisan workers rather than mass production manufacturing (and quality expectations).

My only complaint is that the Aigle mens boots aren't *quite* as high on the leg as normal rubber riding boots, but there's only about an inch of difference, and the quality more than makes up for it.

Our Aigle boots are also made of very high-quality rubber; they're what we wear when we're in the mood for all-rubber outings - clothing, raingear, boots, etc.
