Dawn and Dunc, your post is a bit vague. Do you mean your ISP account, bank account or what?
There are a number of scams doing the rounds at the moment (like the BT Technical scam). How did the scammers contact you? In any event, do not part with any money or give them any personal details (pin numbers etc.)

Always chose a good password and change it regularly.

If they quoted your actual password for something then you need to do a full security review, especially if you used that password in more than one place, changing your passwords for everything for stronger (and very different) ones.

A friend works for a big round gov building in Cheltenham, he is great for hunting out these scammers, finding their address and sending them a photo of their own house saying i’ll around in 5 mins with the boys to pay you the cash in oerson, this is your house isnt it.... amazing how fast they shut up shop and vanish from the net!

Top tip, use a £ at the end of your passwords, only uk has £ on our keyboard and alot of hackers are outside UK.
